So at the end of the day, if I say Al Hamichya when I was supposed to bench was I yotzei?
I was once asked by a big Talmid Chacham to have him in mind when I said the first bracha of Bentching as he was uncertain if he had the shiur for Al Hamichya - how does that fit with what we learned.
I just want to clarify that you are explaining that the way the break of the pasuk works is that it separates it from the end of the pasuk from which we learn the need for four separate brachso but not from the begining of the pasuk which obligates benching.…
